The Opensource Locality Project has been established from my strive which support
by Thai institute. We established from the people in the Pa-Ngew Village that
help a lot for me until grow up to the subdistrict. The Opensource
Locality making a peopleware by relation between the countryside
community for disseminate the Opensource Software
to know about it. Main idea that relationship between countryside
people help a lot for understand what is the need of opensource and
expand to other people that didn't know about Opensource before. Many
people in local community didn't know about the opensource software
before. I hope someday in the future the all people in Thailand about
the truth with the opensource software. Opensource is not a non-sense
but it can be usefull.
I try to use the Opensouce Software. I understand about the Opensource
can uses on daily but we need to practice them for uses. We need to
build small social that uses the opensource or the Opensource Locality
for some question “How to living without a pirate
software”. We learned something from the Opensource Locality. We
can uses Opensource Software for watching a movie, listen the music and
internet. That enough for the end user. The next step we try
develop for the occupation with the Opensource Software and more
develop. We need the Opensource Locality because we cannot test the end
user in the LAB. But we need the real people for test the end user. For
understand about the end user want or need. We gave many idea for
develop. I requested the Thai developer to improve Thai
language for show ability in Thai developer. Thai language are need for
a countryside to uses them. We can teach the people that no computer
skill is easier than people have a computer skills. I try to suggest
many people in my community to uses the opensource and somepeople
interest because have a Thai lanuage. Some people like Linux TLE
because of Thai language and easy to use. I think the Opensource
Localitiy can research a knowledge for develop the Opensource Community.
Some people didn't have a lot of money but encourage
me. Many people give me with a knowledge and advice me. When many
hearts touch on me and then let me brave and do something that every
one call IMPOSSIBLE. We thank of all you kindness.
